Our 2025 Happenings

We started the new year with our traditional New Year's Eve party.

Dale and Connie attended a friend's 80's themed party.  Lots of fun!

We met up with Uncle Dan and Aunt Linda for dinner.

On St. Patty's Day there was a church "Linger Longer" and we had a family dinner with Clint's family all arriving in green.

Jerimie and family joined us for Spring Break.  We took the crew to Tom's Farms.

Connie had both knees replaced on June 11th.

We stayed home for the 4th of July and did some sparklers, sitting down. Ha Ha.

By August we were up and around enough to go to the Laguna Sawdust Festival.

So, back in February, Dale started having some health problems.
In June, we found out that he has metastatic prostate cancer.
He was put on hormone therapy which he will continue to take.
He spent the month of September undergoing daily radiation treatments.
Symptoms have improved and the treatment is holding the cancer at bay for now.
Thank you to those who have added him to their prayer lists.
We have truly been blessed with small miracles.

Connie's mom and Weston share October birthdays.

We had a Halloween craft night.  Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble!

We attended the Halloween party at Clint and Jen's house.  Arggggg.

We are big Dodger fans, so we were thrilled when they won the world series!

Aimee came for a visit in November.

We went to California Adventure for our 41st wedding anniversary.

Chelsea and Connie went with Grandma and Sandra to see "Wicked, For Good".

Jerimie and family came for Thanksgiving, so we thought it was the perfect opportunity to take them and the California families to Knott's Berry Farm.
 What a wonderful day.

Dale still works for McMurray Stern. In August he reached his 35th anniversary with the company. He works from home right now due to his health issues.  Connie is in the middle of her 30th year of teaching.  We are both considering retiring but need to get a few ducks in a row before that can happen.  We are going on our first ever cruise the first week of the new year.
Melody and Matt are in Utah.  Tyler graduated from highschool and Tucker is in 5th grade.  Meshell and Ben  just purchased a new home and are true Alaskans.  Cozette is a senior and enjoyed wrestling until she had  an injury.  Shyanne is also in highschool.  She enjoys science and colorful hair.  Brielle is in elementary and is about to participate in the Alaskan games.  Everett is a Sonic loving 4 year old.
Jerimie and Riyan live in Eagle Mountain, Utah with their wonderful kiddos, Max, Levi (Mookie), Penny, and Johanna (JoJo).  Max is in 4th grade and plays basketball, baseball, and soccer.  Mookie is in a dual immersion first grade where he is learning Spanish.  He plays sports too.  Penny is a feisty, funny, 3 year old who loves to dance.  JoJo is an adorable baby girl who wants to do what all of the others are doing.  Clint and Jen live in Menifee, CA with their 3 energy filled kids.  Ryker is in 6th grade and loves video games and his friends.  Fynnley is a creative, free spirit who has chosen to be a vegetarian because of her love of animals.  Zoey loves to tell stories and has an active imagination.  Nick and Aimee live in Homeland, CA with their 3 boys.  Lincoln is 9 years old and loves anything Disney.  Weston is 7 and enjoys dinosaurs and playing with his cousins.  Kaladin is 2 and loves dinos like his brother.  Chelsea lives and teaches in Moreno Valley.  She is envolved with the youth at church too.  Beau and Jillian moved to Eagle Mountain too.  Beau is taking art classes and Jillian is substitute teaching.  So, in case you weren't counting...that is 16 grandchildren!  We love them all.
Connie's mom, Pat Brown, turned 88 in October.  She is going strong. She has dialysis twice a week.  She knits and makes crafts for fun.  She also continues to play the piano and autoharp.  Connie's sister, Aimee, lives in Northern California.  She travels for work, so we get to see her every now and again.
We are looking forward to the Christmas festivities and the new year to come.  We wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!
