Here is the 2012 update of Bennett happenings:
Dale continues to work at McMurray Stern in SantaFe Springs. He also serves as the bishop of the Citrus Hills ward. This has kept him very busy throughout the year but our family has truly been blessed. Dale recently celebrated his 50th birthday. We love him very much!
After 10 years teaching third grade, Connie was asked one week before school started to change grade levels. She now teaches fifth grade. This has added to her work load, but it was time for a new challenge. Overall, she is enjoying working with the older kids. She also still leads the after school choir. This year we are singing songs of the 80's. She is also the ward chorister at church.
We went to a Bennett family reunion in Washington this past summer. It was a great trip.
Beau is a junior in high school. He still loves art and sketches every day. He and his dad got to go on a high adventure trip to Catalina this past summer. We were given a real piano and Beau has filled the house with beautiful music. He plays by ear and has even written some piano pieces.
Chelsea is a junior at Cal State Fullerton. She is still working towards becoming a teacher. Hopefully there will be jobs when she graduates. She is in the Relief Society presidency at the singles ward. She continues to play guitar and sing. She has written several songs. She got to perform at an event at CSUF for her President's Scholars group last April.
Nick got engaged in October to Aimee. He proposed by carving it into pumpkins. They will be married in the Manti temple in Utah on Feb. 23rd with a reception in Corona the first Sat. in March. He is attending Cal Poly Pomona in pursuit of a degree in accounting.
Clint and Jen have been married for a year. They got an opportunity to rent a house here in Corona. It is nice to have them living nearby. Clint graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a BA in Public Relations. He also got his first "real job" with insurance and everything.
Jerimie is very handy to have around the house. He is our official handy-man. He works construction and has done beautiful work in many homes this year. He even remodeled Grandma and Grandpa Brown's bathroom. He had a visit from his cousin from Holland, Nick. Jerimie also keeps us laughing here too.
Meshell and Ben have been living in Albuquerque, NM. Ben is in the army. They recently got orders that will move them to Kansas. Their adorable girls, Cozette and Shyanne are growing everyday. They were able to come for a visit this past summer. The girls keep Meshell on her toes.
Melody and Steve live in Ontario. We enjoy having visits with Tyler. He is in kindergarten this year. Steve works for Hertz rental cars and Melody is working with mentally challenged adults.
So, that pretty much sums up our latest. Perhaps I will add posts to this blog throughout 2013, so check in now and then.
We wish all friends and family a wonderful New Year...may happy things happen daily!
Love, the Bennetts
